PROCESS OF DIAGNOSIS:

 

Child & Adult ADHD:

1. Background history appointment with adult or parent/carer if child only (1 hour in person or over the phone)

2. Cognitive Assessment (IQ) (includes ADHD Assessment) (2 hours)

3. Paediatrician Diagnostic Consult if child or Psychiatrist Consult if adult.

 

ASD Assessment for Child

1. Background history appointment with adult or parent/carer if child only (1 hour in person or over the phone)

2. Cognitive Assessment (IQ) (includes ADHD Assessment) (2 hours)

3. Pragmatic Language Speech Assessment (2 hours)

4. ADOS/ADI-R Assessment (2 hour parent interview & 2 hour assessment) Please note, all assessments will be approximately 4-6 weeks apart to allow for report writing of each assessment. If needed for final diagnosis, NDIS Application / Centrelink Carer Forms with our Paediatrician

5. Pre Paediatrician Consult (1 hour)

6. Paediatrician Diagnosis (1.5-2 hours)

 

ASD for Adult

1. Background history appointment with adult or parent/carer if child only (1 hour in person or over the phone)

2. Cognitive Assessment (IQ) (includes ADHD Assessment) (2 hours)

3. ACI-A Assessment (2 hour assessment)

4. Our Telehealth Psychiatrist we refer you too.

 

Specific Learning Disorder (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia)

1. Background history appointment with adult or parent/carer if child only (1 hour in person or over the phone)

2. Cognitive Assessment (IQ) (includes ADHD Assessment) (2 hours)

3. Academic Assessment (2 hours) (Please note, 6 month of evidence-based intervention is needed for a diagnosis)

 

Intellectual Development Disorder

1. Background history appt (1 hour)

2. Cognitive Assessment (IQ) (includes ADHD Assessment) (2 hours)

3. Vineland Assessment (1 hour phone call with parent)
